Take On Me—A-ha (1984)
Still one of the best music videos ever made. I really enjoy the follow-ups “The Sun Always Shines On TV” and “Train of Thought” as well. :)
Listen, I’ve tried just about every sandwich on the McDonalds and Subway menus, so I think I can conclusively say that all American cuisine is crap. — What I usually hear when people who aren’t really into American comics talk about American comics.
It does kinda bum me out that I can browse huge swaths of the SDCC tag and not find a single post about comic books.
Some old Nick Cardy art I found during a random image search. It’s got a “Lisa Frank” vibe to it that I find really charming. I think I’ve found my new iPhone wallpaper. ;D

Am I a ghoul or a human
Gotta catch ‘em all, I suppose.
(My kid’s been bingeing on Pokemon and I’ve been in the room)
I’m dandy…in space.
OMG!! Ensign Sue spotted at San Diego Comic Con! SQUEEEEEEE!!!! :D
From the Interropast! Wookie Ookies - “Vader”
Me and this freaking cat. :D
Here’s a bonus “Mascot” comic this week for you folks who can’t make it to SDCC this weekend. ;P Read MORE “I’m My Own Mascot” here.
The new Sailor Moon series got me thinking about this game we did in 2011, so I wanted to share it again. I miss the ridiculous expressions they used to have in this show. Enjoy!. :3
One of the games we devised for the T-Mode Birthday party was something we called “Old Queen Beryl”. Essentially, it was a mix of the card game “Old Maid”, musical chairs, and Sailor Moon. We had 2-3 decks of playing cards and mixed into them two cards that were stickered with one of these:
If you had one of these at the end of the round, HURRAY! You get a prize.
But if you got one of these…
..you were out (and you were given a “Make me a sammich” sticker and declared Queen Beryl’s bitch. XD)
So we would give everyone two cards (and instruct them to keep them secret) and began playing the Sailor Moon transformation music. In that time, everyone had to swap cards with each other to either A) get a prize card or b) get rid of Queen Beryl. You could not refuse to trade and you could not trade with the same person twice in a row. Now, to throw people off who thought that a sticker automatically meant something, we made these to “No Prize” stickers to put on random cards:
You get nothing from these except perhaps a chuckle. So yeah, the game was a super fun and I think we may have to break it out for future conventions. Yes? Oh, yes! :D
